An art party can work for any age child - from 3 years to 12 years. The only thing that will differ is the type of decor and the type of activities.
It is one of the easiest parties to put together. Lets think about decor.... Get an old paint tin - hang it in the roof and drape bright color material out of it over the table. This will look like paint dripping out of the paint container. You can have a white table cloth - PLASTIC PLS -with bright splotches of paint on it. This you can cut out of bright paper board and use prestic to attatch it to the plastic table cloth. An easy way to pack your utensils will be to get a few paint swatches from the paint shop. You can either staple them together of work them together with needle and thread.
